Alice Gibberd is a young British student who just graduated in Knitwear design at the Royal College of Art in London.
The main purpose of her collection is to evoke astonishment in people, with items that are knitted but not immediately recognizable as knitwear. At first sight, it’s impossible to understand the materials and the technique they’re made of.
Alice used the potentiality of a synthetic material, a polyurethane based yarn. Once realized everything with a traditional knitting machine, the pieces have been heat-pressed in order to fuse the fibers together and to make raw cut possible.
