Brooke Roberts, a former radiographer, is a digital knitting designer who uses scan images of the brain and sinuses as inspiration to create unique knitwear garments. The London-based designer meshed images captured during medical scans with the drawings of the Dutch artist Escher to create exclusive hybrid artworks that combine science, technology and fashion. The opportunity to see inside the body and analyze human anatomy challenges her to think about concepts of symmetry and beauty and to explore organic shapes. The collection is entirely made using merino wool and sport-tech composite yarns, all craftshipped using the latest digital knitting technologies.
