Let us introduce you to the emerging knitwear designer Gabriela Braga, whose style is inspired by colour and happy feelings.
“Happiness is the new black”, this is her motto. The very-young designer Gabriela Braga, a recently graduated student from Brazil, during her last year of university decided to immerse herself deeply in a knitwear universe, and created a new, colourful brand she called Gabrielab.
Emerged in the middle of 2014, the first collection of the brand won a new-designers-competition at the fashion week in Sao Paulo. The brand’s production is based in Brazil and the pieces are created in high tech machinery, with quality yarns making up exclusive jacquards with prints created by the designer. These prints, created over long researches, overflow colour and happiness.
The creational process, despite being knit in high tech machinery, is all very artisanal: all garments are hand assembled, hand cut, and many hand sewn.
