Contemporary perception of the world is dominated by the thought that everything is made up of individual blocks and modules; what happens if you think of a continuous line?
The project of two Polish students Magdalena Mojsiejuk and Paweł Lasota previews a future where reality comes from a single continuous thread. Here technology and textiles become one and the same, knitting copper wires and going to create everything, from lamps to bridges.
Knotty translates the knitting technique into the automated language of a robot; the result are structures capable of emitting light and sound using the conductivity of the material.
