Born in the Paris region, Jessica Leclere is a young textile and knitwear designer, graduated in 2012 at Chelsea College of Art with a project of basics inspired by the frosty atmosphere of Icelandic coastlines.
The innovative composition is due to a detailed manufacture which combines embroidery, graphics, and knitting, creating little artworks. The secret is the connection between yarns, materials, circular shapes and technique: the result is a dialogue between opposites, between optical effect and the compositional one.
The bases are achieved through industrial machines, on the contrary, the interconnection between textiles and intertwinings is manual. This detail is the very new element of her collection “Knitted Garment“.
