One of the emerging names in the world of knitwear design is Katya Zelentsova. Russian and student at Central Saint Martins, this designer is the queen of the glamour-grotesque. Inspired by French surrealist literature and film director Peter Greenaway, Katya creates sculptural garments in which the everyday clothes are decontestualized and translated into new forms of language. She is very attached to her homecountry culture, even though she never forgets to put a touch of humour in her collections.
