Fintan Milholland is an Irish Knitwear designer who graduated from Nottingham Trent University, in England. His garments are autobiographical and self-referential, with strongly three-dimensional shapes and geometries. Sculptural silhouettes full of tactile sensoriality are given by natural yarns such as lambswool, alpaca, merino, and cashmere, in clothes where ancient handcrafts find new ways of expression thanks to contemporary technology.
An aesthetic that merges an imaginary science fiction with a tradition passed down since prehistory and its mythology make Mulholland’s production unique and fascinating.
