Stockinette stitch
The stockinette stitch or stocking stitch is the most known and widespread stitch ever … if you’ll learn this one you’ll know almost everything, and you’ll be able to cover the world with knitting!
How do you get it? Simply alternating a knit row and a purl row!! Remember that it will form the right stockinette on the right side and the wrong stockinette on the back side.
One last warning: the stockinette stitch tends to roll up on itself! Don’t be afraid: when you finish your work it’s enough to vaporize it (vaporize, NOT iron!) so that it won’t tangle up.
